Safety Considerations

Neither device should be selected solely on purchase price. The rated capacity, hooks, chain, braking system, inspection requirements, and operating environment must all be considered. The load should also remain within the rated configuration of the equipment.

Choose a chain block when controlled vertical lifting is the primary requirement.
